Before I forget and most importantly the majority of these cards were cased from dear friend and fellow demonstrator Tamara Bertram! Love her and Thank You Tamara!  Check out her work here http://tamaraspapertrail.blogspot.ca/

FESTIVE FLURRY ORNAMENT KIT

YouHi There ladies,

Just wanted to share with you the Festive Flurry Ornament Kit Video that was released today.  I am going to get my kit shortly.  This is sooooo awesome!

You can order yours TODAY! Just click on the SHOP NOW button. Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! “Heard” & Weekly Deals!

Stampin' Up! has *heard* us when we say that while we love all their promos, sales and such it makes communication difficult - too many e-mails!  They will now be letting us Demonstrators know what's coming down the line every Tuesday so I will try to keep my e-mails to you down to once a week ... and usually Tuesdays or Wednesdays.  That's the *plan*, anyway ... but you know me ... once I get on a roll the e-mails start flying fast and furious!

So!  Christmas you say.  Yep ... it's, what? ... only 42 days away!  How's that workin' for ya??  I THINK I'm ok with that ... but check back with me in about 40 days and see if I'm as calm and relaxed as I am today (yes, I AM calm and relaxed today ... can't you tell by the length and jovial tone of my e-mail??)

In an on-going effort to keep YOU organized, ahead of the game and happy, (which, ironically, is usually what gets ME all stressed out and crazy!) I have some stuff to share - some you've seen - some is new.

Here we go!

  1. GIVE YOUR STAMPIN' UP! CHRISTMAS WISH LIST TO YOUR LOVED ONES BY THURSDAY (attached) and have them phone me to order you something you really WANT for Christmas.  If they do so before Friday at 7:00 pm YOU are entered into the draw for $35 in free product of your choice! Remember ... *they* say Mom needs to take care of herself first so she is happy and healthy and can then take care of everyone else.  So REALLY, you are taking care of your family ... by sorting out YOUR Christmas present(s) first *lol*
  2. COMPILE YOUR CHRISTMAS CARDS:
    • Don't have any bought (*insert gasp and facial expression of disgust here*) or made yet?  Getting stressed out at the thought of making them?  Don't panic - I've got ya covered!
      • (have you realized yet that I really like using the bullet button on my e-mails??  No?  Well now that I've pointed it out you won't be able to help BUT notice in the future.  You're welcome :)  )
      • I have a Christmas Stamp-a-Stack planned for this Sunday, Nov 17th from 1:30 - 4:30.
      • I need 2 more stampers for this to go ahead ... and I need to buy my girls Christmas presents this year so I need it to go ahead (notice how I added that little guilt factor there?  Again - you're welcome.)
      • 15, 20 or 25 Christmas cards and envelopes for $35, $45 or $55 - you bring your own adhesive - I supply the rest
      • No, I can't show you pictures of the cards.  I haven't designed them yet.  But I WILL if I get 2 more stampers to commit by tomorrow night :)
  3. DECIDE WHAT YOU ARE GETTING EVERYONE:
    • Need some suggestions for the 8-18 year olds (other than i-Tunes cards and XBox games?)
      • Everyday Occasions Card Kit - $36.95 (= $42.68 with the s/h/gst)
        • SERIOUSLY!  These things are the BOMB!  I can't TELL you how many of these I've sold this month (mainly because I'm too lazy to actually count them ... but it's a LOT!)
        • These are a GREAAAAAT gift for anyone old enough to use a glue stick and perfect for anyone who likes to send cards!  You get everything you need (except adhesive and scissors ... but if you don't have those a) I can sell you some and b) you have problems if you don't own a glue stick and/or scissors ... but I digress ...) to make 20 different cards.  No cutting paper, no designing ... just follow the instructions (also included) and put them together!  After you are done you have 20 cards, minimal mess, and a versatile stamp set and 2 little inks to use in the future.  Little storage, small price tag.  Buy 1!  No!  Buy 3!  I did!
        • See attached flyer for full pictures and details
        • clip_image002
  4. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL THE PACKAGING AND TAGS YOU NEED:
    • Need some ideas?
      • Weekly Specials: (only available until Nov 25th!)
        • clip_image003
      • Tag It Bundles: - $23.95 and $24.95  (only available until Nov 19th!!) - see attached flyer!
        • clip_image005
      • Pop & Place Gift Tags - $:11.95 - $27.95 - see attached flyer!
        • clip_image007
  5. DECIDE WHAT TO DECORATE THE TREE WITH THIS YEAR:
    • ***NEW*** Just announced today!!!
      • Festive Flurry Ornament Kits - $17.95 (= $20.73 with s/h/gst)
      • clip_image009
      • Sorry - no flyer :(  Here is what you get:

§ The kit includes everything you need (minus adhesive) to create 10 snowflakes, including

          • 10 feet of Soft Sky Ribbon
          • Printed cardstock - die cut and scored, ready to be assembled (Soft Sky, Crumb Cake, Whisper White Cardstock and Silver Glimmer Paper)
          • Large Rhinestone Basic Jewels (40)
      • You can't beat that with a stick!!!   Last year SU released similar kits ... and they sold out in a matter of days!!  These are while supplies last only so contact me ASAP if you want to get your hands on these little beauties!!

OK.  So!  That's my little list of things to do (and buy!) to make the next 42 days go a little easier.  No need to thanks me ... just send me a hand-made Christmas card :)

So ... I wanted to add in 2 more things for my little *show and tell* ... but I'm tired or typing ... and I'm sure you would probably rather poke yourself in the eye with your mouse than have to read any more in one e-mail so ... I'll end by saying I lied a little ... I WILL be sending out another e-mail this week ... one with a FABULOUS Christmas Shoe, similar to the Witch Shoe I did last month ... but this one will be bagged, filled with a little nail polish and nail file and will have a tag that reads "Just a little something for your Mistle-toes".  HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!  Love it!  I'm just putting the finishing touches on it and figuring out the cost and then I'll send it in another e-mail.

clip_image011

... and ...

... one last thing ... here are the November Kit-to-Go offering that I have put together ... you know ... in case you are in denial that you have 100 Christmas things to do and feel like making some non-Christmas-type cards :)

This is a quick and easy card to put together to suit a number of occasions; Birthday; Thinking of You; Thank You.  I just have to figure out the costing for the kit and will send it out with the shoe info.

KIT KLUB GALS:  This is the kit for this month.  You will receive the pre-cut supplies, the clear mount Wet Lands set and either Crumb Cake or Basic Gray Ink Pad *** Please let me know which color you would prefer!  (I would suggest the Crumb Cake as you have the Early Espresso from a previous kit and that would work well in place of the grey ... but let me know!)

clip_image013 clip_image015 clip_image017

There you have it!  Enough for one day!  Go ... plan Christmas ... then e-mail me with all that you *need*!

Envelope Punch Board Tab Tie Box

Well while I was surfing Pinterest today and trying to figure out new ways to use the Envelope Punch Board ($24.95 133774) I came across this wonderful box made in the UK from Pootles and absolutely HAD to make a few of these myself.  However, before I do anything I had to have my coffee, hence this joke--

coffeejoke

Which fits me perfectly!  But anyways on to the subject at hand, my daughter Alyssa just had to make some of these herself.  Now keep in mind we haven’t fancied them up yet or anything AND I most certainly did NOT come up with this idea myself sooooo here are a few shots of Alyssa’s handiwork!

Smokey Slate Thank You

Just dropping in to say a quick hello as it has been one heck of a week.  I have been busy with my technique classes and fundraising for my daughter’s cheer squad.  That being said, since I was already prepping for my upcoming Christmas Stamp a Stack next Sunday, I borrowed the Another Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set ($16.95 133454) from Stampin’ Up!  Mine is on order so my friend Tamara Bertram lent me hers.

Can you say—I AM IN LOVE!!!!!  Yep I said it, for someone is wasn’t so sure about these stamp sets (bad previous experience from other companies) these new style of stamps are now going to be my new fav.  AND you can NEVER have enough thank you cards—EVER!!!

Take a look, and keep warm, especially if you live in Edmonton and area!

Betsy’s Blossom Christmas?

I decided to use Betsy’s Blossom as a Christmas card this year, which is something new for me, and of course Lovely As A Tree is always my favourite go to stamp set.  It's been crazy busy these last few days and a wonderful lady held a workshop Sunday to take advantage of the promotion from Stampin' Up! this month. Her workshop had over $350 in sales and got the extra $25 bonus. She got $90 in free product and she's so pumped about this.  Thank you to the ladies who came out and for your support!

Here are some of the projects that we did at the workshop, some of which are going to be used at my Christmas Stamp a Stack on November 17 of this year. More details to come once available on that class.

I thought giving Betsy's Blossom a shot for Christmas card was something different and it turned out really nicely and lovely as a tree stamp set, that is always my favourite go to stamp, this is the one stamp set that you must have in your collection of stamps!

There is no time like the present! Order yours now just click on my shop now button and it will take you there!

Ghosting Technique Class

Happy Thursday!

So last night I went to a stamp and share with my up up line.  I had a lot of fun and it was great to see old friends again, however, it was a rude awakening as to how new stampers feel.  Not having used some of the items before I felt really intimidated and out of my element.  Very unusual for me, but lessoned learned, I will have more patience and understanding for new stampers.  I will share those projects another time.

It did, however, to inspire me and get back in the groove for next weeks’ technique class.  Most importantly we will be doing a technique called ghosting!

ghosting technique

And for the fun of it we will be playing with the new Envelope Punch Board to make a file folder card.  This turned out to be really cute…

HAPPY MONDAY!!!!

Happy Monday!!

I had the most FABULOUS weekend!!! 4 stamping "gigs" in 3 days!!  I figured by Sunday afternoon I would be ready to drop in my tracks and never want to touch a stamp again ... but I was wrong!!!  I was pumped and ready for more ... so here I am to share something I'm REALLY excited about!!!

A new kit that ROCKS - MY - WORLD!!!

I've always loved crafts.  That's when crafting came into my regular Sunday afternoons.  As mom was busy doing "mom stuff" I kept busy with crafts ... that's when KITS came into my life.  I LOVED kits - paint by number kits, rug hooking kits (am I dating myself here???), knitting kits and cross stitching kits.  Nothing made me happier than a cold, rainy (or snowy) Sunday ... and being able to sit down at the kitchen table and have everything I needed to make something all by myself ... with the smell of Mom's roast beef cooking in the oven!  ahhhh .....

Fast forward 37 years ... now stamping is my love.  For the 8 years I've been in this business I have always wanted to have an "all-in-one" kit that I could offer customers.  A kit that has all the pre-cut supplies, embellishments, inks, stamps ... everything!!  Yyyyyyyep.  You guessed it ... there is now such a kit available!!! (*insert sound of me squealing here*).  WAIT!  It gets better!  Stampin' Up! HAS had kits offered in the past .. there are kits to make 8 cards, there is the Paper Pumpkin which offers little projects and/or kits to make 4 cards .... but that wasn't enough for me!!  I wanted a BIGGER kit ... one that makes MORE cards, with MORE variety and with a better value for money.  Yyyyyyep.  You guessed it again ... there is now such a kit available!! (*insert the sound of me squealing here ... again ...*)

This kit is THE kit to get if :

  • you are a new'ish stamper
  • if you have tried stamping, like stamping but don't know where to start with purchasing a few basic products to try out at home
  • if you LIKE to stamp but don't have all the tools you need to creat a variety of different cards
  • if you are on a tight budget
  • if you don't have the space to store a lot of supplies
  • if you have a child in your life who likes to craft
  • if you HAVE all the supplies you need but don't always have the time or energy to haul it all out, start cutting paper and creating something from scratch (this describes me ... when the kids want to make cards I often don't WANT to start cutting and prepping something for them!)
  • if you have family or friends who like to stamp and you are looking for a GREAT Christmas present for them

This kit ROCKS!!!

OK ... enough build up ... wanna see what you get ... $55 worth of crardmaking joy for the CRAZY LOW PRICE of $36.95???*  (drum roll please ...)

* plus s/h/gst)

I introduce to you the Everyday Occasions Kit (woo hoo!  ... fist pumping, whistling and applause are sounding in the background ... feel free to say *ooooo ... ahhhhh* ... and/or squeal!)

clip_image002

OK ... so the picture doesn't do it justice *lol* ... see the attached flyer for a FULL picture of everything that comes in this kit ... as well as 20 card samples!

YOU GET:

  • Cardstock and envelopes for 20 cards ... 20 CARDS!!!!!!
  • Twine, buttons, and clips
  • Full-color Tips & Tricks brochure
  • A cool, storable, giftable box to keep them in or give them away in
  • Die-cut paper embellishments
  • Stampin' Spots (mini ink pads)
  • Seven-piece Occasions Stamp Set & clear block
  • **notice that adhesive and scissors are NOT included in the kit ... so I lied a little ... it doesn't have EVERYTHING you need ... but I think everyone has a glue stick (or tape) and a pair of scissors lying around (and if you don't I know a great Stampin' Up! Demonstrator who can hook you up with some *lol*)

You can make cards for All Occasions (... hence the name *lol*).  The stamps in the set have these sentiments:

  • Happy Birthday
  • Congratulations
  • Love
  • Thinking of You
  • Thank You
  • For You
  • and one more ... that I can't quite make out on the flyer ...but it looks like a "Made for you" stamp for the back of your cards

Yes.  This kit was announces Friday morning. Bring on a cold, rainy Sunday - Mamma's doin' some crafting!!

I am placing an order in the next 2 weeks  - drop me a line if you would like to scoop up one of the AWESOME kits!!!

That's it for this e-mail.  I was planning on telling you about a new club I'm starting ... but I'll do that under a seperate e-mail ... stay tuned for that!  Until then - have a stampy day!!

Gorgeous Grunge meets Halloween Hello

Well I received some new goodies from Stampin’ Up! today.  Can you say it felt like Christmas here in my house!  What can I say I love this company, I really do and the creative juices were flowing around here.

I ordered the Gorgeous Grunge and Halloween Hello stamp sets, then I found a card that actually used both on Pinterest so I did what every crafter does and cased it—well pretty close…take a look…grunge

My daughters loved it and thought it necessary to play with these stamp sets too.  This card is sitting on my new Stampin’ Trimmer that I bought and loooove!

I also had to get this cool Strawberry Slush jacket as well……well….just because I had to have it.  Mwaaaa Mwaaaaa

new jacket

Sorry about the bad hair day Sad smile  Oh well maybe tomorrow.  Which by the way I am going to do a Christmas card version with the Gorgeous Grunge too!!!

Well ladies, I hope you have a Boo Ya kind of day!!!!

Betsy’s Blossom is in Bloom!

Wow, what a week this has been.  I don’t know about you but you can tell the kids are back in school; they have gotten sick with the flu and has passed it around our house.  Apparently we are not the only ones, my good friend and upline, Tamara, her daughter is sick too!

Also, I have been busy prepping for classes and selling my retired stuff (to get some cool new Stampin’ Up! stuff, LOL).  Anyhow I wanted to share with you a few of the cards we are doing tonight in my technique class.

I wanted to showcase the versatility of our stamp sets, and by far, this stamp set seems to be the most popular so far.  Therefore you can use it for more than just one card.  Take a look:

I love these cards and as you can see you can do so much with this stamp set!  Have an awesome day and enjoy the extra summer time this weekend!

Virtual Garage Sale

Happy Monday,

Well one tiring weekend finished, yet fun, it is time for me to get back to business.  I have finished my workout for the day, house is clean and my daughter willing to make supper this is a good day too!

As you know I just recently got back into the business and there have been some major changes with the new color refresh that Stampin’ Up! Came out with in July.  I need to raise some funds to help pay for that and it might be a good idea to get some more catalogues as I’m out.  LOL

So instead of you coming to my house for the garage sale I thought I would have a virtual one instead.  I have taken pictures with the prices attached.  It is first come first serve via email.  I can only take cash, cheques, or email money transfers for them.  If your coming to my technique classes Wednesday morning or Friday night I can drop them off too you.  Let me know.

If I have enough left over maybe I will get a new stamp set.  Let me know which stamp set you would like to see at my next technique class. (By the way I’m all for the ‘Gorgeous Grunge’)  The most popular will be bought.

Thanks for your support ladies!

Boo ya baby!!!

A Wedding to Remember!

So yesterday two dear friends of mine finally got married and it was a beautiful wedding.  But can you say “oh my sore body!”  Mind you with all the squats I had been doing and working out I was not as sore today as my kids!!!!  However, they were up there for every dance.  LOL and it was nice to get dressed up as a family…

family 2013

One thing that was totally Boo ya awesome, was they had a photo booth there!!!!  It was an absolute hit!!!  It made two copies where you could keep one and the other went into a book for the Bride and Groom!  Of course you could add notes and hints for them.  I think that was genius!!!!us2us

Well I am the worst procrastinator ever, there should be 12 step program for that mwaaa mwaaaa, I finally got to there card in the morning.  I tried a new technique called ghosting which I think is fun.  Check it out

While using the pansy punch, I really like how it turned out.  Best punch ever!!!!!  Teeny Tiny Wishes, my all time favourite go to stamp set. Well I’m off to see some Club Members, then home and back to bed (I hope).

I hope all of you have a BOO YA kind of day!

Envelope Punch Board

Oh man the weather here is deceiving!  It’s hotter than heck but almost all of the leaves have turned yellow, a lot of those said leaves are falling, and I see flocks of birds heading south!!  Seriously, winter so soon—it’s just not fair!!!

Anyhow, I just popped in to share the video for the AMAZING new tool that everyone NEEDS to have - no seriously - you NEED IT!!!  Watch the video and then let me know if you can resist it - betcha can't!!!

Now I am off to make supper for the fam and start designing a card for a wedding we are going to on Saturday!  All I can say is that I am still so freakin’ excited that the kids are BACK TO SCHOOL!!!

Boo ya baby!

Thank God the kids are back to school!

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am most certainly grateful the kids have gone back!  It was great to see many familiar faces as I walked my daughter to school.  It was like old home week when we saw fellow students and teachers all eager to start the school year.  I am running a little behind today so it will be tomorrow that the teachers get their cards.  Maybe I should send “Deepest Sympathies” cards instead, mwaaaa mwaaaaa.  I’m just kidding!

Yesterday I showcased a card I made for my daughter but I am going to show you how versatile a layout can be.  Take a look:

As you can see, same layout, same colors, different saying, but two totally different cards.  Kewl hey!

Boo ya baby!  Have a great day!
