It is with great sadness

It is with great sadness that due to some major personal issues that I will have to be letting go of my partnership with Stampin' Up!

It has nothing to do with any disatisfaction with them, frankly it is the opposite.  However, I have had to make certain decisions in my life and this has to be one of them.  Therefore, if I do continue to blog, I cannot guarantee it will be all SU product, but for those that do visit and do follow, it gives me great joy to share.

So this blog will not necessarily be updated on a regular basis.  I greatly appreciate your support and understanding during this flux time but I felt it was necessary to let you know.  Thanks you!

A Carrot for your Thoughts!

I realize that this post is really late, sorry about that  :)  Having said that it is because my brain has been exploding with thoughts on how to improve my craft room for classes and general satisfaction.  I must admit the last time I held a class in my basement (dungeon) you could see everything that you shouldn't have.  So for the majority of time I have held my classes in my kitchen (no I did not melt my big shot) and did my personal work in the living room.  Until I can get a love seat and a TV for my new craft area I still will be creating in my living room.

Speaking of which and thanks to a fellow demonstrator I got to play with the new petal cone bigz die available in the current mini.  Great for Easter!  Thanks for stopping by.

The Magic of Candles

I really think that I am going to put a bunch of stuff together and go to my Mom's town and do their Farmer's Market in the next couple of months.  As stamping on candles is so much fun and so easy to do.  For this project I used these items...

• Just Believe stamp set from Stampin' Up!
• Old Olive and Real Red Stampin' Write Markers
• 1 1/4" grosgrain striped ribbon in Real Red from Stampin' Up!
• Tissue paper, wax paper, heat gun and sticky strip.  Easy...easy...easy and enjoy!

Are Gas Prices Getting You Down?

I am so sick and tired of these gas prices!!!!  Thank God I am in partnership with Stampin' Up! so I don't have to pay a fortune for my business or for some of you your hobby!  I am starting a new stamp club in April and I am looking for 6 members to join me once a month to do fun projects while saving money and increasing their supplies.  If you live in the Edmonton and surrounding areas and want to have some fun, laughing, coffee (tea) and creating let me know!!!!  Especially with these stupid gas prices, absolutely insane.  Here is some info...

Stamp Clubs are a great way to build up an inventory of Stampin’ supplies, earn free stamps

and stay within your budget!

How it works:

• The Club will consist of 6 members each taking a turn to be the Hostess of the Month!
• The Club will run for 12 months.  There is no charge to join, however, each stamper must make a commitment of purchasing $40 each and every month so that no one gets cheated!
• Stampers will hold one spot in the Club!
• Each Hostess of the Month is guaranteed at least one Level 1 stamp set and $20 in free product!  That's twice during the commitment time.
  
• Although Club members need not host or attend a workshop, the Hostess of the Month may increase her hostess benefits by collecting outside orders!
• If a Club member cannot attend one month an order of $40 in products will be placed on her behalf.
• Club members will receive a free copy of the current Idea Book & Catalogue.  (11.95 value!)
• Club members will automatically have a $5 discount on all Workshop WOW's and classes.
• Every month we will have a door prize draw to which the winner can stick their hand into the prize box!  (free stamp sets maybe?!?)
• Right now I am offering the prize basket where you can pick from anything in between punches, embellishments and unmounted stamp sets.  First come first serve on these to those who sign up first.
• You will be notified via email of the project we will be doing that month with photos.
  

The Clubs are being offered for every fourth Tuesday and Thursday per month.  When you register you will be placed on a waiting list until the Club spots are full.  You will receive appropriate notification of start dates.

For The Love of Children

Wow it has been a long week and the reason I haven't posted lately has been because illness has hit our household once again.

Anyhow I saw this project done by Jan Farring at Christmas time last year.  I love, love, love her work and she is sooooooo inspiring!!!  You can get some inspiration from her too at http://www.jansstampingcreations.com/2010/12/tic-tac-toe-travel-game.html  you won't regret it.  Anyhow I thought it was absolutely perfect to make a homemade version of my kids favorite game Tic Tac Toe.  Take a look...

 

So to make a long story short they have been playing with this ever since I made it.  I used our Springtime Vintage DSP, Rose Red CS, Springtime Vintage Big Buttons.

National Baby Month for March

One more way to use fabric!

Well I have to say there is other ways to use fabric besides sewing with it.  I played with the last piece of the three pieces of the Springtime Vintage Fabric from Stampin' Up!  You get three good size pieces each a different design and of course you are able to coordinate them with our colors.  I originally wanted to use this piece on my lamp shade but it was not quite big enough so this is what I did with it instead.  I have to say this time I really outdid myself and I loooooovvvveee it.  What do you think of this project?

Springtime Vintage Fabric

I karumba (sorry for the misspelling and grammar errors today) I finally got my project finished.  I took an 18 x 18" pillow form and made a cover for it using our Springtime Vintage Fabric and Rose Red seam binding.  Oh yeah and can't forget the Springtime Vintage Big Buttons.  I have to make this quick but here are a couple of photos of my pillow.  I will be back tomorrow.  Enjoy!
