A Little Intimidation Doesn't Hurt Anyone, Right?

Hi all,

First I have to say we are back again in a deep freeze and if you are tired hearing about it, imagine how tired I am of feeling it!  Don't you find the title a little intriguing?  Well I have to admit it is the truth!

Let me tell you I had been thinking really hard which of the two new punches being offered in the Occasions Mini that I wanted.  The cupcake punch or the blossom punch, well after much deliberation I decided on the blossom punch and the Build a Blossom stamp set.  However, when it came in my order nearly two weeks ago I was thrilled that it was in but I went hmmmmmmmm.  Well it just sat around and around and around, calling me saying, "play with me."  Well not really calling my name, that would be spooky and after being intimidated by it I finally decided to bite the bullet and got brave!  Then I found out it really was a lot of fun!

The colors I used are Crumb Cake CS and ink, Bashful Blue CS and ink, basic pearls, Real Red striped 1.25" grosgrain ribbon, 1/4" Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon and the lace ribbon (that's not the exact name but my catty has grown legs lately LOL.

Well again I appreciate you stopping by and I will see you tomorrow.  Actually it will be pretty late, my dog Bella and I are going to the salon to get pretty.  Woot Woot!

It's an 'Upsy Daisy' World

I realize that today's post is a little late and I probably won't be posting for the next couple of days.  I promised my neighbors I would babysit their boys and besides I am going to be brave and bring out my very annoying sewing machine.  It works but gives me grief every few seconds I use it but I am determined to use my Vintage Spring fabric from Stampin' Up! and cover my pillow form with it.

Well my favorite stamp set called 'Upsy Daisy' came in my order last week and after an exhausting day yesterday of housework (4 loads of the dishwasher and much more!) I figured I better get to stamping today.  I also thought I would play with the new Distressing Essentials Tool Kit that I got in my order too.  I am not really happy with that card, I figure it is going to take some practice especially with the different color spots it came with.

Also a huge thumbs up to the 'Stamper Camper' who provided the tutorial for these bows.  With a little practice they were easy to do.  So enjoy the cards and I will see you shortly...thanks for stopping by!!!!

This is the one I don't really like as I was trying out the Distressing Essentials Tool Kit.  What do you think?
PS.  The mirror image on both cards was done on purpose...just playing around LOL

Scrapbook Challenge Banner and Share

As a member of SUDSOL (our online upline) I am honored to be their Scrapbook Challenge Coordinator.  Which means I come up with sketches, they follow them and submit their work for a chance to win free time with the group.  It also helps them get inspired when the brain goes blank.  We don't know what that is like do we?  LOL

So I have been doing it all using 'My Digital Studio' from Stampin' Up!  I find it the most useful paper crafting tool I have for scrapbooking.  I still like doing hard copy but due to time lately it is quicker for me to use the paper crafting software!

So here is the banner I did up for the Scrapbook Challenge Reminder that I send out on Friday's.

Here I used the SAB 2011 digital version in paper and the Stamp Set:  Bliss from SAB

Here is this week's sketch and if you want to participate go ahead then send me your photo of your work.  I will share it on my blog.

And here is my entry into the challenge using this sketch.  Again I used MDS and the digital version of SAB 2011.

Have an awesome day and thanks for stopping by.  I really appreciate it!!!

Decor Elements Date Keeper

Ugggghhh I hate this weather here!!  We are going back into yet another deep freeze and I am tired of it.  Yesterday we even had snow, again!  So I thought I better get my creative juices flowing and that's exactlly what I did.

I ordered our Decor Elements Date Keeper as I had been eying that for awhile.  I really like the colors it was offering, Old Olive, Baja Breeze and you could decorate any old way you wanted.  You could put a picture in the little box but I decided to decorate it with these two colors and using my new favorite stamp set -- SAB Bliss.  I hope you like it as much as I do.  Talk to you tomorrow!

Don't forget to leave a comment on the blog post below for that Blog Candy!!

Elegant Soiree Flip Scrapbook Tutorial & Blog Candy

I wanted to share with you another tutorial for sale today. I am really excited about this one as it incorporates scrapbooking but in a portable way. Great for you who like to brag about just about anything. LOL. Or to sit beautifully on your shelf for your friends to go oooohhh and aaahhhhh over. Just on the beauty of the colors and embellishments.

This time I have added larger photos with more detail and work. So this is a 17 page, step by step tutorial and only for $4.95. Again it utilizes Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Paper with a vintage feel.

For this month's blog candy I will give away two tutorials to the two lucky folks who leave comments about how they would utilize this tutorial for themselves or their business. I will make the drawing on Friday February 18 @ 8PM MST. The lucky winners will be notified via email that evening. Good Luck!!!

So we went to West Edmonton Mall where they were holding the Hair Massacre for the Cure.  People had to have their hair died pink and be willing to shave their hair.  I will post more on that tomorrow but tonight i will share his before and after pics.

Okay so this really isn't his before picture, but even the dog was supporting the cause.

Before Picture

And this was a family photo and my DH after photo.  Just wanted to share so I know it's late.  I will need to take a break, so I will chat on Monday.  Have a great weekend!

Another Stamp n Share Share!!

It's Monday again and the temperature dropped again putting us into a deep freeze!  Another Monday ritual, this time the car wouldn't start, even plugged in the battery died so DH was late for work.  Gotta love Mondays and to make today's Monday even more special here is another share from our SUDS meeting last week.

My up up line Tamye Dunbar did this project using the new Petal Cone Bigz die out of the new Occasions Mini catalogue.  I can't wait to try it myself.  See you tomorrow!!

Blog Text Update

Well Michelle Laycock did it again.  She waived her magic HTML wand and did amazing stuff.  I asked her to change the font color and size of my postings and title so you could see them better.  I tried to do it myself but of course couldn't, html and I are not nor we will ever be friends LOL.  So I went to my HTML queen, who originally designed my blog for me and she went in and changed it for me.  She straightened out a bunch of things in there and at such a reasonable price.

So if you are a blogger and you want excellent design and service, go visit her at Laycock Designs.

Hope you like the improvements!

Inspiration comes from Everywhere!!!

I have mentioned before that inspiration can come from anywhere and everywhere when we need something for our scrapbooking and card making needs.

Recently I received a magazine in the mail called Canadian Home Trends and I was so impressed with the color combination they had on the front cover that I just had to make a card with them.

I don't know if you can recognize the colors on the cover but I quickly ran to my stash of card stock and they perfectly matched our Rich Razzleberry and Certainly Celery so this is what I came up with.

And guess what you can download the tutorial HERE!!!

Have a great weekend!

Cool What a Night!

I love Stampin' Up!, I love my SUDS group here in Edmonton, I love my up up line Tamye Dunbar and I love SUDSOL.  Last night my SUDS group met for our monthly meeting and 1) Tamye made homemade cinnamon buns and gave us the recipe. 2) The tax lady came by and gave us some information and 3) The shares were absolutely incredible.

Today I am showing a couple of things that was shared with us last night and then all next week I will be showcasing the rest of the beautiful work.

Today I am showing you some of the work that was done with our 'Simply Adorned' line.  I so can't wait to get order the larger 'Simply Adorned Charms' and when you see the pictures you will understand why.

I hope you are as much inspired as I am with these.  Happy Stampin!

My Baby--Bella

On Monday my dog Bella got a special treat in the mail.  Now I know this isn't stamp related however I just had to share.  She received a free sample of Cesar Dog Food, a placemat, spoon, dish, and handkerchief just for trying their dog food.  Take a look

Isn't she adorable?!  Suffice to say there was nothing left of that food!  She is a wonderful companion and is always by my side, especially when I stamp.  In fact I have found a couple of basic rhinestones and pearls on her tail as of late.  LOL.

Anyhow I will see you tomorrow and have some photos of the swaps that I come back with from my Suds Stamp n Share.
