Fashionistas have struck again!

I realize that today's post has nothing to do with creating, stamping, or anything like that but I am so impressed with my kids that I just had to share.

Their 'Grandma Carr' came from British Columbia and they spent the weekend with her. When we went to pick them up yesterday, and in front of a large group of family and friends, performed a very trendy fashion show. I was most impressed with them as they practiced and practiced even with two dress rehearsals. Scripted and put together with the appropriate music would make even the designers in Milan most impressed.

I will have to do a scrapbook page of the event shortly. But here are a couple of pictures for your enjoyment.

For the Bride

I have to make this short and sweet as my Mother in law will be here shortly.  EeeK!  LOL just kidding, she is a wonderful Mother in law!  Today I am sharing a card with you that has two different techniques to it that I made for a bridal shower tomorrow.  Another funny thing is that the bride is getting married on my wedding anniversary this year.  Only she is getting married 11 years after I did.

To do this I used a brayering technique and did a ribbon flower.  I will have videos on these techniques uploaded next week, so stay tuned!

Teacher's Gifts

Well I have been busy lately with the kids finally finishing school next Tuesday. I had to get the teacher's gifts ready and prepared for that day. Then there is the fact Grandma is coming from BC tomorrow night, so I have a house to clean, kids to pack (gone for the weekend) and then to make gluten free cinnamon buns for my daughter's school breakfast for Monday.

Whewwwwwwww! Let's not forget to mention all the stuff happening with Stampin' Up! and their color renovations, new catty July 1, retired list ending this month. It just goes on and on and on.

But I thought I would share with you the gifts that I made for their teachers and bus driver. I gave them each a gift certificate for a free class for them and 5 or more of their friends. They are going to like that! Take a look at the photos:

I used the Water Color Trio from the current Summer Mini and the new In Colors in Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait. Doesn't that sound yummy! I just LOVE these new colors and the new colors added to our core line. You will see samples of those tomorrow. Speaking of which, I am off to clean my house, have a great day!

Time gets away from you....

Time sure does get away from you, between illness, household duties, kids, family stuff, hence the lack of posts and now look Father's Day is tomorrow already.  My kids already have their stuff together for Dad, my youngest even made a power point presentation with homemade computer pictures for him.  Too cute!

So I figured I better get off my butt and make something for the great father he his and expect more tutorials and posts, hopefully on a regular basis.  Enjoy the card.
