My Laptop Went to Laptop Heaven

Well I have to say, "I will NEVER buy a D--L again!"  This is the second time my hard drive has crashed on me in less than 18 months of having it!!!!

So for the next week and a half my posts, sadly (boo hoo), will be limitedHaving said that, it will leave me more time to do projects with tutorials, video tutorials and plan changes for my website.

You will still be able to register for classes, join my team, book workshops and sign up for my e-newsletter during this down time on my blog, that way you don't miss out!!!

Therefore I am asking you to be patient during this time and look forward to an exciting April!  Thanks :)

Rag Purses are the NEW Trend

Well if you have been following the fashion trends as of late then you would be noticing that the rag purse is one of the coolest trends for today's fashion.

How would you like to make one, or two, or three for a fraction of the cost of what you would pay for at the store.  Here is what mine looks like...

The edge is straight in the last picture, it's just where the scallop is leaning makes it look uneven.  Speaking of scallops, other than a sewing machine guess what I used?  The clear bigz scallop die from Stampin' Up!

Scallop Square Stampin' Up! Clear Bigz Die 115950
Price: $29.95
Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive Large Square Scallop Bigz clear die lets you can see the image you want and position it precisely before cutting. This die works wonderfully for cutting photos in a fun shape or for creating a focal point with a specific area of a Designer Series paper pattern. The scallop square shape is perfect for many projects, such as frames, journaling blocks, and accents.
■ Creates a 4-3/8" x 4-3/8" scalloped square
■ Can cut through multiple sheets of card stock, Texture Cuts wood sheets, window sheets, and more
■ Use with Sizzix Big Shot machine and standard cutting pads
■ Die size: 5-1/2" x 6"

Order yours today and get started on the fashion trend for cheap!

A Few Days Off

Hi Ladies,

I took a few days off after the BSCG blog a day contest but I am back--fear not!  I also came back with a couple of photos of my latest project...

As I am the Sudsol Scrapbook Challenge Coordinator (if your demo and have not tried it yet, you really should.  Click on my link below to try it out for a couple of weeks free.  It's worth EVERY penny) and I needed to inspire some fellow demos with a 12 by 12.  So this is what I came up with and I really like it.  I hope you do too.  I didn't get a chance to do a tutorial for it but it will be up later this week.  Keep checking every day as it will be up soon.

Take care!

Calgary Regionals

Oh my goodness what fun I had.  You would have been able to come too if you were on my team.  Join Now!  I was quite surprised when Shelli Gardner showed up, that would be the CEO and co-founder of Stampin' Up!  Here are some pictures...

A couple of new friends that I made...then of course me (working hard?)....

Then of course some examples for us to get inspired, this was done by Shelli herself...

And I will save the best for last, this was really the best moment of the day...

Woo Hoo me and Shelli, what an exciting day that was.  Stay tuned, I will have more pictures tomorrow!

What I like most about workshops!

A question was posed to me earlier this week and it was 'What do I like most about Workshops?'

My answer to that is this being able to show people the projects that I am most proud of and being able to show them how to do it!

For example, this project:

Hopefully it is something they have never seen before and when I do show my customers the projects I enjoy seeing their eyes light up and anxiousness to get started on making them.  Of course I like making new friends that I would be able to share life experiences and coffee with.

I like to be able to show them all the cool new things that Stampin' Up! has to offer, give them ideas for new uses for the products they already do have and different ways of using them outside of the paper crafting field.  It really is quite amazing what you can do with it all.

Another joy I have is being able to treat my hostesses with a special gathering near the end of the year to show my appreciation for all that they do!  Gifts, wine and dinner, how fun is that!

I'm now booking workshops for April, May and June. Spring workshops are a lot of fun because it gives friends a chance to get together after a long, cold winter.

If you'd like to do a Spring workshop with me, please feel free to call me 780-476-1430 or email me at teresa@thescrappinmama.com.
