Busy Busy Day

Hi there everyone, my post is late today because it was time to do some actual housework and organization today.  My girls are getting ready to go to their Guide/Sparks camp this weekend and I finally get some peace and quiet.  I am sure a lot of you can relate.

I am always curious as to what my customers think and what their favorite things are, especially in scrapbooking and card making.  So here is my question, what are your three favorite Stampin' Up! colors that you like to use on a regular basis?  Use the color link below in the left sidebar to help you and leave your comment here.  Some lucky person will receive one of the new stamp set for the clear mount blocks.  Woo Hoo!  I will make the announcement of the winner next Wednesday!

A Butterfly's Journey

A friend of mine is making an honest effort in trying to lose weight.  It is difficult when you have physical difficulties that won't allow you to perform regular exercise and she also has celiac disease like my daughter has.  So I thought I would give her a card of encouragement to help her keep going.

I didn't do it in your standard card size but in a 6 x 3" size and this was soooooo easy to make.  Have a great day everyone!

Abundant Hope Tags

Runny a little late today, however that being said, Sudsol had another challenge again using the Abundant Hope Stamp Set in a project.  Instead of doing it in a card format, I decided to make tags.  I needed a bunch of them for Easter as I will be attaching them to roses for my friends at the production, Love According to John.  You should make a bunch of them for your friends too!

They turned out beautifully, I think and they send a wonderful message.  I will add the tutorial later this week.  Thanks for stopping by!

C is for Cat Two

This was my first attempt at the challenge before I look all the way through the instructions!  I really like this stamp set even though it is not one I would use very often, it is not one I would ever give it up.  I have a lot of friends who have cats, and one who just recently lost one.  One of the stamps in the set is a 'sorry for your loss' stamp and to have this set would be great for a last minute card when the cat passes away.  You could use it to scrapbook your family member or share in the joy of a new one coming in.

Anyhow this is my 'Oops' card, and I hope you like!!

Well here is your free tutorial click here.  Have an awesome day!

C is for Cat Version 1

There was a wonderful challenge happening on Sudsol (demonstrators click on the try 2 weeks free sidebar) and I had to participate.  I have this new stamp set C is for Cat, since I am an animal lover (allergies will not allow a cat in the house) but I love them anyways.  So if I can't have a cat in the physical sense I can have one this way.

At least this attempt actually followed the directions that they had requested; I guess it would help if I read through the whole email properly.  Ha ha ha.  My original version will be on my blog tomorrow!

Since I don't provide tutorials right on my blog anymore click here to get yours free!

Punch Bunny Magnet for Kids

Well better late than never today!  One of my daughter's friends decided to participate in the Hair Massicure for Cancer fundraiser last weekend.  Not only did she die her hair pink but she shaved off all her hair and in doing so she collects all her pledges for doing this.  So as a thank you to her and inspired by a fellow demonstrator's punch art I came up with this...

Kids are going to love making this at Easter then putting it on their fridges as it is a magnet.  I want to mention that part of the tutorial is courtesy of Demonstrator Jackie Topa; so a shout out to her.  Today the tutorial is free so download and make a bunch of them with your kids at their next party!

Download the tutorial here.

MY Next Stampin' Up! Product Purchase

Someone earlier today asked me what my next purchase from Stampin' Up! would be?  The first words that spit out of my mouth were EVERYTHING!  However, reality is that it just doesn't happen that way (I still wish, though, he he).

So your wondering what my next purchase would be and that would be the Stampin' Up! Flower Folds Bigz XL die (#115970 Page #201 IBC)

Let me tell you why...this is a new product that came out with the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog last summer and I didn't get it.  Didn't see the rhyme or reason for it, but I had an HA HA moment especially when I saw this project...

(Photo courtesy of and copyright of Patty Bennett) I love these fabric flowers!!!!  I mean I they can be brooches, closures for purses; you can add them to anything you want too.  I want to make a few brooches before Mother's Day, birthdays, or add them to homemade purses (can't wait to make one of those too!).  Frankly I didn't realize my Big Shot could cut fabric with my dies.  There was a gold mine happening in my brain when I discovered this!  Yippee!!!

Actually I will be having a class to make these wonderful Fabric Flower Folds on TUESDAY, March 16, or WEDNESDAY, March 17, 2010 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm cost: $25 Fee due NO later than March 1, 2010.  Click on my calendar to register today before you forget!!!

Plan ahead and get one too, to bring to class; order it now!  I will see you tomorrow and at class; have an awesome day!

Memories For Mom

I participate in yet another fun challenge on Sudsol (Demonstrators click on the link in the sidebar to get your free 2 week trial!) and this time the challenge included a 6 x 6 scrapbook page...

this time, after having it for awhile now and not used it, I decided to play with my large two-step bird punch.  My upcoming Special Class this month will be utilizing this punch for some card making fun!

However, this challenge, wanted a matching card to go with it...

and I am pretty sure I will be sending this card to my Mother for all that she does for me now that my Father has passed.  I believe  a strong card should go to a strong woman and she deserves it!

I'm now charging $6.50 CAD for my pdf tutorials because as much fun as it is to do them for you, they are very time intensive; hence the charge.  You never know, though, there will be days where I will be in a really generous mood (he he) and have a FREE one now and then.  So make sure to check here every day, become my Face-book and Twitter follower where I will announce the free tutorials to you.

Order this tutorial today!  It's only $6.50 CAD for the pdf download.  As soon as I receive your payment I will email the tutorial to you!  Thanks a bunch!

Sisterly Love Still Exists!

Well a huge thank you to all who responded to my post on Thursday.  A lot of you wanted to see these pictures with the new Sweet Pea download for our My Digital Software paper crafting software offered of course by Stampin' Up!  What do you think?

I looooooooooved this so much that I am going to do this as a traditional page for their scrapbook.  As a proud mother, what can I say but they are the sweetest beauties I have ever seen.  See you tomorrow!

Valentine's Fancy Treat Box

What a long day while I was visiting with my Mom and such, knowing full well I had to finish this project for tomorrow.  I wanted to play with my Stampin' Up! Fancy Favour Treat Bigz XL die again and use up some of my Sending Love DSP.  Not to forget the whole point was to put something nice together for my girls!  I mean it is Valentine's Day and all he he.  So time to play with my toys and this is what I came up with!

You can download the free tutorial by clicking here!

By the way they do have more chocolate than that he he.  From my family to yours Happy Valentine's Day!

Proud to be Canadian!!!

I didn't know what I was going to talk about today except after yesterday's death of the luger athlete, may he rest in peace and to continue with his Olympic dreams in the ever after, but after watching the Opening Ceremonies last night; I had tears in my eyes!

What a fantastic way to open, that was incredible!  The graphics, stories being told and best of all when ALL of the athletes came in.  I sang our national anthem with pride (she did a good job too, lol) I sang with KD Lang as she sang one of my favorite songs from Leonard Cohen.  What about our Canadian heroes you brought in the Olympic flag and carried in the torch.  Yes Wayne Gretzky is Canadian born and raised so thank you to those in the USA for taking such good care of him.

All I can say at this moment is that I am very much and extremely excited to say "I Am Proud To Be Canadian."  Take care everyone!

The Next Photos I'm Going To Scrapbook!

Well it has been awhile since I did some scrapbooking but these precious photos are just to cute for words and they show such sisterly love.  That is of course when they are not fighting, lol.  However, when they got the Hannah Montana face masque at Christmas my girls wanted to have a facial with their new stuff.  Check these pictures out:

I am thinking of using my MDS (My Digital Studio) with our new Sweet Pea Download to do this.  Tell me what you think?  Go through our current catalogues and YOU give me a suggestion or two.  Email me with YOUR suggestions at  I can't wait to hear from you.

Thank You Kindly

Well I have to tell you, I am one tired pup after this card and envelope set.  As you may have recalled I did a fundraiser for Love According to John production and now I have to make a bunch of thank you cards.  When you are making as many as I am it does tend to get a little tiring; I think I will gather my young ones to help me make these:

I am positive you might remember this technique he he he.  So instead of putting all of the information to do this project right here on the blog, I am now going to give you a link to download the pdf tutorial for this project.  I hope you like this idea, so leave a comment and let me know.  Enjoy the project and here is the link.

Oh can't forget one more thing, The Business Stampers Coaching Group that I am involved with has started a challenge to have a blog entry starting today and everyday for the next 31 days.  Wish me luck!

Love Notes Keeper

The other day I was going through all my resources to figure out what projects I could do with my On Board Heart Book that I bought from the Occasions Mini.  I thought maybe I could do a mini photo album (nixed that idea, didn't feel like dealing with pictures quite yet, lol), I had no clue for colors, embellishments or anything for that matter...until I came across a project and I suddenly went hmmmmm.  Take a look...and it's easy, peasy to do! I used the Sending Love Specialty DSP (#117153) because it is so pretty.

I used two of the On Board Heart Books to give this a sturdy top and bottom.  Then I made a center pocket to hold the love notes.  Of course I had to decorate that section with our Very Vanilla 3/8" Satin ribbon (#117291).  It needed pizazz as you can see in the picture below.

Then I used our heart punch to make the heart notes.  I just folded our Very Vanilla CS in half and made sure that some of the card stock would punch so it can open and close.  This way I can put a little love note in my family's lunches just to show them how much they mean to me.  Well friends, I am running short on time today so if you would like the tutorial you can email me for this one time FREE tutorial.  I will talk to you again soon!
