Yikes--I need an Assistant!

Well as you can see by my lack of posting these last few days, I am sorely lacking and in desperate need of an assistant.  All the admin work has left me no time for creating and I am still not done the admin stuff.  However, I am not complaining really as I like to be busy.

But my daughter had a birthday party to go to yesterday so I had to come up with birthday card and fast!

So what do you think?  From what I understand the birthday girl really liked it.  I love the spring colors and the Vintage Vogue always adds a touch of elegance no matter what the age.  So here is a quick little tutorial to help you make this card!

  • Regal Rose CS 8.5" x 5.5"
  • Mellow Moss CS
  • Whisper White Textured CS
  • Regal Rose & Mellow Moss Classic Ink Pad
  • Mellow Moss Stampin' Write Marker
  • Blender Pen
  • Pretty in Pink 1/4" grosgrain ribbon
  • Corner rounder & Word Window punch
  • 1/16" punch
  • Gold brad and your snail
  • Vintage Vogue and On Your Birthday stamp sets
  1. Take your corner rounder punch and punch one corner of the Mellow Moss CS and the Whisper White CS.
  2. Take your Word Window punch and punch out the window with your Mellow Moss scraps.
  3. On the WW CS use your Vintage Vogue stamp and stamp with your Mellow Moss CIP on the one side.
  4. Take the 'F' from the Vintage Vogue stamp set and ink it up with the Regal Rose CIP then take your blender pen to remove the ink off the word 'friends'
  5. Ink it up with the Mellow Moss Stampin' write marker and stamp on the top half of the WW CS.
  6. Take the birthday greeting from On Your Birthday stamp set and stamp with the Regal Rose CIP.
  7. Now grab 8" of your ribbon and attach to the WW CS with your snail and tie a bow.
  8. Attach the WW CS to the Mellow Moss CS with your snail with both rounded corners on the same side, then attach it to the card as shown.
  9. Fold the Mellow Moss word window and fold in half.  Add snail to both sides of the inside and attach as shown.
  10. Almost done here, grab your 1/16" punch and punch a hole in the center and add your gold brad.
This one is so quick and easy and that's the way I like it.

See you again.

The one thing I can't stamp without!

The other day I was asked "in regards to stamping, what is the one thing I can't live without?"I was able to come up with my answer within seconds. Without a doubt it is the Stampin' Scrub. Why? The Stampin' Scrub allows me to clean my stamps and clean them well right after I use them. Not only does this help me take care of my investment, as it cleans within the little crevices, it also keeps my workspace clear of stamps waiting to be cleaned.  It allows me to use the same stamp with multiple ink colors without having to jump up and run to the sink (which was extremely hard in the crevices and time consuming), which in turn saves me a ton of time.
Stamping is definitely more enjoyable with my Stampin' Scrub. Cleaning my stamps is a no brainer, not something I ever think about. I couldn't stamp without it!

What the Big Box Stores Won't Tell You

Even though we all like to save money, sometimes Customer Service (or lack thereof) can make all the difference in the world!  When making a purchase at a Big Box Craft Store, ask yourself these questions:

1. How do I learn how to use my new craft item?
2. Who do I call next month when I have a question about it?
3. Where can I learn more specifically about my paper-crafting  hobby?

As your personal Stampin' Up! paper-crafting coach, I am always available to answer your crafting questions.  You can shop my online store 24/7, or have me  to your home for a workshop or class.  Our products come with a 90 day guarantee AND you have access to my newsletter, which is packed full of tool tips, inspiration, and so much more.

Be sure to sign up for my enewsletter and look forward to great customer service from me AND Stampin' Up!

Have an awesome day!

Quick & Easy ? You better believe it!

Valentines is quickly approaching and if you have kids you know what that means.  Time to get all the children's names from their classes, day care and other groups for the annual card exchange.  How about something a little different this year that has a little more pizazz, takes just as long as the others and cheap!  Introducing our new 'Love Bots' from Stampin' Up!

I ordered a couple of packages for my girls this Valentine's Day.  Enjoy the quick tutorial video on them.  See you next time!

Haiti--A Call To Action

I can't believe what happened in Haiti 3 days ago, the pictures, the stories are absolutely horrific. I am counting my blessings that my family is safe and protected.  However I wanted to do something.  I am lucky because I now have a platform to help and you can help too!

You need to place a $75 order + shipp & GST and I will donate my whole commission on that ($15) to the Canadian Red Cross Society.

This will help support the recovery and rebuilding of Haiti.

Email me with your name and phone #, I will contact you personally for your donation.

All I can say is do what you can and that's all we can do!

Humbly and thanks,

Teresa Hafso

Chat and Challenge Entry

Hi everyone, illness sure took a hold of my household as of late, as you can tell by the lack of posts, but I haven't been able to participate in our Sudsol Chat and Challenge either.  So finally, yesterday, I did and this is what happened.

And just when I thought we wouldn't need the real read cs anymore, wrong, I forgot that Valentines Day is coming and so it continues....hahaha.

Cut a piece of Real Red CS (#102482) into a 8.5 x 5.5"

Take a piece of Pretty in Pink CS (#100459) and cut into 2 pieces 1)  5.25 x 3.5" and 2)  2 7/8 x 2 7/8"

Take the gorgeous Sending Love Specialty Paper (#117153) and cut into two pieces 1) 5.25 x 3.5" and 2) 3 x 3"

Using our new Pinking Hearts Border punch (#117649) along the long edge of the long piece of Pretty in Pink CS

Attach the big piece of specialty paper with snail at the bottom half of the card

Attach the prepunched cs on top of the specialty paper at the top half of the card

Use your Well Scripted stamp set (#117072) and stamp on the small piece of cs with the chocolate chip classic ink pad (#100908).  Take your mat pack (#105826) and paper peircing tool (#116631) and punch a whole in one of the letter o's

Attach the chocolate chip 1/4" brad (#117272) to that

Attach that piece to the specialty paper with snail.

Take a 10" piece of Very Vanilla 5/8" satin ribbon (#117291) to the top quarter.  Then attach the rest with our Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

A lot of fun and easy to do.  See you again!

New Video Today

It's that time of year again for my family.  Every year we look so forward to practicing for "Love According to John," which is performed at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium here in Edmonton, Alberta.  It's so awesome as we are presenting it's 39 season performance, a tried and true story for sure.

The director, Mrs. June Hunt, blessed me with the opportunity to fund-raise for them this year, which has put me on cloud nine in doing so.  The cast and crew will be knocking on your door selling you our Simply Sent Card Making kits.  Everything is included, all pre-cut cardstock, embellishments, stamps and ink.

Any and all kits sold between now and January 24, 2010 I will donate my income from those to LAJ.

To order your tickets for this year's performance go to their website at

For those who need a refresher on mounting our stamps or have never done that before, here is a quick little tutorial for you.  See you tomorrow!
