The Jolliest Time of the Year!

Good morning everyone, I hope you are finished with all of your holiday preperations.  I know that I have some last minute baking to do.  However, I make sure I find some time to do some stampin' and creating and I thought I would share this special project with you.

Since my Mom finds herself alone this Christmas since Dad passed this summer, I thought I would make her a special Christmas Card to cheer her up.  I hope you like it too.

It looks complicated but it is rather simple with only needing a few supplies, I hope you can make this one for someone special this Christmas.

Tutorial:

  1. Cut a piece of Real Red CS into a 8.5 x 5.5" piece and fold in half using your bone folder.
  2. Cut the Merry Moments DSP into 4 x 5.25" and 3 of 1 x 3.75"
  3. Cut the Old Olive CS into 3 of 1.25 x 4" and 3.25 x 3.25"
  4. Cut Very Vanilla CS into 3 x 3" and another piece into 1 3/8" x 2 3/4"
  5. Using the 'Jolliest Time of the Year' stamp set take out the snowman and stamp him with the Black Stazon on the large piece of Very Vanilla CS.
  6. Use your Old Olive, Real Red and Close to Cocoa Stampin' Write Markers and color in the snowman.
  7. Take your 2way glue pen and hit on the spots you want to add your Dazzling Diamonds.  Attach this piece to the large piece of Old Olive CS with your snail.  Set aside.
  8. Take the verse and using the Real Red Classic Ink and stamp it on the small piece of Very Vanilla CS.
  9. Use your ticket corner punch and punch all four corners.  Take your sponge and sponge along the edges with the Real Red Classic Ink.
  10. Attach the large piece of the DSP to the base of the card using your snail.
  11. Attach the small pieces of DSP to the small pieces of Old Olive CS using your snail.  Then attach those to the card.
  12. Grab your Old Olive 1 1/4" Striped grosgrain ribbon and attach it to the card just above the centre line with your snail.
  13. Place your snowman piece onto the card making sure to snail the top and bottom of the piece and put it over the ribbon.
  14. Take an extra piece of ribbon and tie a knot to add extra flair.
  15. Attach Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the wording piece and attach to the card.
Your done, and personally I think my Mother is going to love it.  I hope you do too.

See you tomorrow!
