Heat Embossed Christmas Gift Bag

I was inspired by a fellow demonstrator with this project and I wanted something special for my Mother this year.  I really think she is going to love it, I know I sure do and it will hold all the Pampered Chef (c) stuff my Mom wanted for Christmas.   Here is the tutorial to make this project for your last minute wrapping issues!

1. On a piece of 5” x 6” Whisper White CS, sponge Creamy Caramel along the edges. Allow the ink to dry thoroughly before proceeding to the next step.

Directions:

2. While the Creamy Caramel is drying, randomly stamp you Kraft bag with one of the small flowers from the Baroque Motifs stamp set using your Creamy Caramel Classic ink.

3. Once the sponged ink is dry, stamp the flourish from the Baroque Motifs stamp set along the edges of the Whisper White CS using your VersaMark ink. Sprinkle the Silver Embossing Powder over the image and tap off the excess. Holding your Heat tool 2-3” from the surface of your paper and heat the Silver Embossing powder until shiny.

4. On a scrap of Whisper White CS, stamp out your ornament 3 times, once each in Sage Shadow, Pretty in Pink and Bermuda Bay Classic inks. Punch the images out using your Ornament Punch. Sponge each ornament in its darker matching color (Bravo Burgandy, Handsome Hunter, and Night of Navy Classic ink). Punch the tops of each ornament with the 1/16” circle punch. String each with the Silver Elastic cord. Make sure there is enough to tuck around the back of the CS.

5. Stick 2 Stampin’ Dimensionals to each ornament and stick them to the spots where you would like them to rest. Stick the Silver cord to the back of the Whisper White CS using a sandwich of Sticky Strip. Place an inch of Sticky Strip on each of the 4 corners of the back of the Whisper White CS. Stick it to the ¼” x 6 ¼” Bermuda Bay CS mat . Place Sticky Strip on the back of the Bermuda Bay CS and stick it to the Kraft bag.

6. Onto a scrap of Whisper White CS, stamp out the ornament 4 times in the lighter color of your choice. Punch out the image using the Ornament Punch. Now with your Stamping Sponges, sponge the edges of each ornament with the matching darker Classic ink.

7. With your Crystal Effects, dot the little open spaces on each ornament and then sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Let dry.

8. Gently make a bend around your finger on each ornament so that It becomes curved. Now tape a length of Silver Elastic cord on the back of one ornament, and then glue the ornaments together ( ½ of an ornament to another ½ until the four ornaments are glued together to make one.

9.  You can now place your ornament over the bag handles to tie them closed. You are done!

I hope you enjoyed this project and I will see you tomorrow with our 12 Days of Christmas Special!

Like it, Want It, ORDER IT!

Thank you to Andrea Walford who inspired this project.
